Description

Accepting candidates for the 7/27 & 8/10 orientations.

Requirements

2+ years of Cath Lab experience
ARRT certification required
Kentucky license required
- Candidates without a KY license will be considered if they apply immediately upon accepting the offer
AHA BLS and AHA ACLS required
Must be willing to float within scope of practice

Schedule

Monday–Friday
One rotating weekday off each week

Call Requirements

8–15 call days per month
1 weekend on call every 3 weeks
Must be able to arrive within 30 minutes for STEMI (heart attack) alerts
Call team consists of:
- 2 Registered Nurses
- 1 Radiologic Technologist

Department

2 Cath Labs
Rotation through the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab
Approximately 8–10 procedures per day
6–8 STEMI cases per month

Responsibilities

Table panning
Scrubbing diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures
Assist with:
- Shockwave
- Intra-aortic Balloon Pump (IABP)
- Impella
- EKOS
- Penumbra
- ACIST contrast injector
Assist with device implants:
- Single-, dual-, and biventricular pacemakers
- Implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs)
Perform peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures
Cross-training in EP procedures (ablations) available
Physicians perform both radial and femoral (groin) access procedures
