Description

Travel Med Surg / Post-Op / Oncology / Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Unit: 6 South – Post-Op / Oncology / Telemetry
Contract: 13 Weeks

Join a fast-paced 36-bed Med Surg/Telemetry unit caring for post-operative, oncology, and general medical patients in a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

Active RN License
BLS required
ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certification preferred
Telemetry experience with the ability to read and interpret rhythm strips
Heparin drip experience required
Experience with chest tubes preferred
PleurX chest tube experience is a plus
Copy of a valid, unexpired driver's license required with submission
Must live outside the 50-mile radius rule

Unit Highlights

36-bed unit
Typical nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5–6
Patient population includes:
- General Med Surg
- Post-op General Surgery (lap chole, lap appy)
- Oncology complications
- Chest tube management
- Occasional 1:1 behavioral health patients
Central telemetry monitoring with Phillips monitors
RT manages CPAP and BiPAP

Assignment Details

12-hour day or night shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM / 7:00 PM–7:00 AM)
Every other weekend
Holiday rotation with permanent staff
Float to other Med Surg/Telemetry units as needed
Royal blue scrubs required
No false nails permitted
