Travel CVOR RN – Scrub Required | Cardiac & Thoracic Surgery | Richmond, VA

Job Description

Join as a CVOR Registered Nurse and become part of a highly specialized cardiovascular surgical team. This assignment is ideal for experienced CVOR nurses with advanced cardiac and thoracic scrubbing skills who thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity operating room.

Assignment Highlights

13-week travel contract
Day Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
On-call required after scheduled shift
Hospital-provided scrubs

Responsibilities

Scrub and assist during complex cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures
Support surgeons during advanced open-heart and minimally invasive procedures
Maintain sterile technique and ensure patient safety throughout the perioperative process
Participate in weekday and weekend call rotation

CABG
Valve replacements and repairs
Aortic dissections
TAVR procedures
ECMO initiation
Open thoracotomy
VATS procedures
Da Vinci-assisted thoracic surgery
Lobectomies
Wedge resections
Mediastinal lymph node biopsy
Pericardial window procedures

Requirements

Recent CVOR experience
Proficient in scrubbing cardiac procedures requiring cardiopulmonary bypass
Experience with thoracic surgery and mediastinal procedures
Ability to participate in call rotation
Current BLS certification

Call Requirements

Weekday call begins at 3:00 PM
Weekend call includes Friday, Saturday, and Sunday when assigned
