Travel PCU RN – | Chest Pain/Telemetry

Job Description

Join a fast-paced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) specializing in chest pain management, cardiac monitoring, and progressive care for adult and geriatric patients. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced PCU nurses seeking a rewarding travel assignment in a nationally recognized acute care setting.

Assignment Highlights

13-week travel contract
Night Shift: 3x12s (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
EPIC charting
First-time travelers welcome
Local candidates accepted

Unit Details

Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5
Adult and geriatric patient population
Chest pain evaluation and MI rule-in/rule-out
Cardiology and medicine overflow
Occasional post-cardiac catheterization patients
Remote telemetry monitoring
Float within clinical skill set as needed

Requirements

Active RN license (Virginia or Compact preferred)
Current:
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
EPIC experience required
Experience with:
- Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Rapid Response/Code Team activation
- IV therapy, blood administration, and central/peripheral line care
- Cardiac drips including Cardizem, Heparin, Insulin, low-dose Dopamine/Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Nitro, Bumex, and Lasix (no titration)
- Oxygen therapy and non-invasive airway management
