Description
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Float Pool Registered Nurse – Night Shift (Epic System Conversion Backfill)
- Schedule: Night Shift | 3x12 or 4x12 Nights (36 or 48 Hours Per Week) | 8-Week Short-Term Contract (08/17/2026 – 10/11/2026)
- Union Status: This position is represented by the California Nurses Association (CNA).
- Hiring Mechanism [AUTO OFFER]: Direct auto-offer positioning for candidate profiles that meet all technical EMR and documentation criteria.
- Time-Off Restrictions [STRICT]: No Requested Time Off (RTO) allowed. The start date is completely firm to ensure stable, adaptive floor coverage during active system migration.
Submission Hardstops
EMR Dual-System Mandate [CRITICAL]: This contract provides specialized float pool backfill coverage during an enterprise-wide Epic system implementation.
⚠️ EMR HARDSTOP: Candidates must demonstrate active, highly proficient experience using BOTH Epic AND Cerner EMR platforms within the last 5 years as either a core staff employee or travel contractor.
- Recency Requirement: Must have current, active clinical experience with Epic.
- Resume Layout Rule: Every single position documented in the candidate's work history must explicitly state the charting system used. If a previous employer utilized multiple EMR systems, precise dates must be provided to clarify exactly when each platform was active.
- Clinical Experience Baseline: Minimum one year of ICU, Step-Down/Progressive Care, High-Risk Labor & Delivery, or ER experience within the last 5 years is required. (Completion of a Critical Care Course or equivalent experience is preferred).
- Licensure & Education: Active state RN licensure in the state of practice. Associate Degree (A.S. / ADN) is required; a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- Required Certifications [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION]:
- Active BLS (from an approved vendor)
- Active ACLS (Acceptable options: AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS)
- Active TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) OR official proof of enrollment in an upcoming TNCC class.
- Conditional Certifications: PALS (AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS) is required within 60 days of hire/transfer if not already held at submission.
