Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg / Telemetry

RADIUS RULE: MUST BE OUTSIDE 50 MILES OF FACILITY 

MedSurg RN

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start dates: ASAP
• Guaranteed Hours Per Week: 72 biweekly. OT after 80 hours worked in 2nd week.
• Primary Location: Aspirus Iron River

Shift Requirements: 12-hour nights

• Shift start and end times: 7p–7a
• Float Requirements (campus and/or units): Float to ED with competency required
• On Call/Call Back Requirements: Can be low censused and put on call. Call back minimum is 2 hours.
• Weekend/Holiday Rotation Requirements: Every other weekend/holiday

Required Licenses and Certifications:

• Current MI RN license
• AHA BLS
• ACLS is preferred but not required

Minimum Experience (years in specialty):

• Experienced MS RN – 2+ years
• Must have ICU and ER experience

Strong Charting Experience:

• Care Scape patient monitors
• Epic EMR
• Pyxis for medication dispensation

General Job Duties:

• General nursing skills
• Generally will see geriatric patients with CHF or COPD
• Diabetic Unit Information (bed size, case types, patient ratios, etc.):
  • Med Surg
  • 25-bed unit
  • Patient ratio: Day 1:4–1:5; NOC 1:6 average
