Job Title: Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray Tech)
Duration: 13+ Weeks + High Possibility of Extension
Location: Houston, TX or Bellaire, TX
Shift: Day Shift | 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist to perform routine and specialized diagnostic radiographic procedures while delivering high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will accurately position patients, operate radiographic equipment, and produce high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by radiologists. The role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and excellent patient care skills.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine and specialized X-ray examinations according to physician orders.
Verify patient identity, medical history, and procedure requirements.
Prepare and position patients for imaging while ensuring comfort and safety.
Operate radiographic equipment and maintain image quality standards.
Administer contrast media when required and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
Follow radiation safety guidelines and infection control protocols.
Utilize RIS/PACS systems for image documentation and workflow.
Maintain equipment, stock supplies, and ensure exam rooms are properly prepared.
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare teams to provide exceptional patient care.
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Radiology program.
Minimum 3 years of Radiology experience.
ARRT (R) Certification required.
Texas CMRT (Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist) license required.
Current BLS Certification.
Strong knowledge of radiographic procedures, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
