Position: Interim Med/Surg Nurse Manager

Requirements

Active Minnesota RN License
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
BSN preferred
Previous Medical-Surgical nursing experience required
BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
TNCC required within 18 months of hire

Proven Med/Surg leadership experience
Strong change management and process improvement skills
Excellent communication, coaching, and team-building abilities
Collaborative leader with a focus on quality outcomes and staff engagement

Key Responsibilities

Lead daily Med/Surg operations and staffing
Drive department improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance
Mentor, educate, and develop nursing staff
Oversee orientation, competency validation, and scheduling
Ensure evidence-based patient care and accurate clinical documentation
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes
Manage policies, equipment, supplies, and departmental quality initiatives
