Registered Nurse - Med Surg

Job Summary

• Provide quality healthcare in a 12-bed Medical Surgical unit with adult and geriatric patient populations.
• Patient ratio is 6:1.
• May float to other Medical Surgical units as needed.
• No call requirements.
• Weekend hours every other week or as needed.
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee.
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience within the last year.
• Required certifications prior to start: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Must pass Tennessee Abuse Registry check before assignment start.

Work Environment & Tools

• Electronic Health Record system: Meditech.
• Level III Trauma Center.
• Professional dress code; scrubs of any color allowed; casual wear not acceptable.

Additional Information

• Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays.
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff.
• Facility has been serving the community for over 60 years and is fully accredited.
