Description

Job Title: Travel PCU/Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift (Flexible Contracts!)

Job Description: Join the top-rated hospital in the Omaha metro area! We are seeking an experienced PCU/Oncology RN for a travel contract at Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) in Omaha, NE. You will primarily work in the renowned Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center, serving progressive surgical oncology and palliative care patients. This Level I Academic Medical Center offers flexible 13 or 26-week contracts!

Contract Details:

  • Target Start Date: 07/27/2026
  • Shift: 12-hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM). You choose your guarantee: 36 or 48 hours/week!
  • Scheduling: Includes a weekend commitment (4 shifts per 4-week block) and requires working 2 out of 3 major winter holidays.
  • Time Off (RTO): Up to 2 weeks allowed; must be disclosed upon submission.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a large urban hospital. Must be proficient with EPIC charting and managing drips. (First-time travelers only accepted if your 2 years of experience are at a Level I Academic facility).
  • Floating: Travelers are first to float. You must be highly adaptable and willing to float frequently to other units (including the Bellevue campus) to meet hospital needs.
  • Certifications: Active BLS and ACLS required.
  • Radius & Compliance: Candidates must reside strictly 100+ miles from the facility. Please note this is a 100% Nicotine-Free campus.

Additional Information:

  • Attire: Branded Steele Gray scrubs are mandatory (purchase information provided upon confirmation).
  • Licensing: Pending state licenses are accepted, but start dates will be pushed out 6 weeks to accommodate processing.
