Cardiovascular Cath Lab Tech

Perth Amboy, New Jersey

Schedule

• 4 x 10 shifts
• 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Weekends required
• Holidays required
• On-call required

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Role Summary

• Assists physicians with invasive cardiac and peripheral diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including pacemaker placement
• Assists with circulatory support devices such as IABP and Impella
• Supports procedure setup, patient monitoring, hemodynamic data collection, vascular access, sheath removal, and hemostasis
• Participates in catheterization lab on-call responsibilities
• Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs, push and pull at least 100 lbs, and stand at least 4 hours per day

Required Qualifications

• Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in New Jersey
• Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
• 1 year of Cath Lab Technologist experience
• BLS issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification
• RCIS certification
• Completion of an applied science program
• Invasive procedure assistance experience
• Hemodynamic monitoring experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years of experience
• Licensed special procedures Radiologic Technologist
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a health science field
