Location: Manchester, Connecticut
Assignment Duration: August 10, 2026 – February 8, 2027 (26 Weeks)

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for a 26-week Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) travel assignment. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care to adult patients with a variety of acute and chronic medical conditions while collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Provide direct nursing care to patients with diverse medical and surgical diagnoses.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
- Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes in clinical status, and respond appropriately.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Adhere to hospital policies, infection prevention standards, and patient safety guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Required Qualifications
- Active Connecticut RN License (or eligibility to practice in Connecticut).
- Current BLS certification (AHA).
- Additional certifications may be required based on facility policy.
