⚠️ CRITICAL: NO HOME BASE FACILITY

This is a true float pool role with rotating assignments across a 60-mile zone.

1. Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital - Ulysses, KS
   • 54 miles from Garden City Center

Unit Details - Float Pool

• Units Included: General MS-Tele into various specialties:
  • Cardiac
  • Neuro
  • Oncology
  • Rehab
  • Renal
  • Bariatrics
  • Ortho
  • Trauma
  • ED Obs
• Nurse:Patient Ratio: 1:5-6 (based on acuity)
• EMR System: EPIC (experience preferred)
• IV Pumps: Alaris (experience preferred)

Required Qualifications & Experience

• MUST HAVE:
  • 2 years MS/Tele experience in the last 3 years
  • Flexibility to float between multiple units and facilities
  • Willingness to work in various specialties
• Preferred:
  • Prior neuro experience
  • Alaris pump experience
  • EPIC charting experience
• Certifications:
  • BLS (AHA) - required
  • ACLS (AHA) - required
  • NIHSS - required
• License: Active KS or Compact RN license required at submission
• BSN: Not required

• Population: Adults and Geriatrics
• Common Diagnoses:
  • Cardiac (post-MI, post-stent)
  • Neuro (stroke, trauma)
  • Ortho (post-surgical)
  • Oncology
  • Renal/Urology (post-surgical)
  • General Surgery (post-op)
  • Gynecology
  • Psych/Detox
  • ENT
  • General medicine
  • Stable long-term placement patients
• Drip Titration: Heparin (and other set-rate drips)
• Equipment: Vents, CPAP, BiPAP, RT support available
• Tele Management: RNs read and interpret strips

Staffing Support

• Charge Nurse: Designated on each unit (no patient assignment unless necessary; more common on night shift)
• Nursing Aides: Yes
• RT: Available for respiratory equipment
• Tele Techs: Yes (RNs interpret strips)

Option A: Single Facility Assignment

• Scheduled at one facility for the week
• May float within that facility if needed

Option B: Just-In-Time (JIT) Assignment

• Facility assigned 1-2 hours BEFORE shift start via call
