Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR)

Location: Sioux City, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Provide professional and clinical nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
May float within the same discipline across local campuses.
Patient care includes outpatient surgeries and infusion patients (infusion meds such as blood, platelets, IVIG, IV fluids, antibiotics; no chemotherapy).
Patient ratios approximately 3:1.
Electronic Medical Record system used: EPIC.

Schedule & Hours

Typical shift: 8 hours per day.
Weekly hours: 36-40 hours with overtime billable after 40 hours.
Holiday and overtime pay multipliers apply.
Call back and on-call pay available.
Orientation offered on scheduled dates throughout the year.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa
Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Driver’s license
Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system

Preferred Qualifications

CNOR certification preferred.

Additional Information

This role supports trauma centers of various levels in the region.
Orientation sessions are scheduled regularly to accommodate new hires.
