• Nurse:Patient Ratio: 1:3-5

• Equipment: EPIC charting, Pyxis medication dispensing

Required Qualifications & Experience

• MUST HAVE:
  • Minimum 3 years recent ICU experience
  • Minimum 2-3 years cardiac experience
  • Active ACLS (AHA) - REQUIRED
  • Active BLS (AHA) - REQUIRED
  • Active MN state RN license
  • Willing to float to other critical care units
  • EPIC experience preferred (if not, list other EMR systems in comments)
• Preferred:
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - highly preferred
• BSN: Not required

Patient Population & Clinical Skills

• Primary Population: 50% cardiac patients
• Common Patient Types:
  • Code blue responders
  • Arterial line management
  • Mechanical ventilation
  • BiPAP support
  • Cardiac monitoring
  • Vent removal/weaning
• Advanced Skills Required:
  • Hemodynamic monitoring
  • Critical care drips (titration expected in CCU setting)
  • Post-cardiac event care
  • ICU-level patient management

Staffing & Equipment

• Code Response: Yes, respond to code blue calls
• RT Equipment:
  • Ventilators (RNs remove/manage)
  • BiPAP
  • Arterial lines
  • Cardiac monitoring
• Medication Management: Pyxis automated dispensing
• Charting: EPIC

Schedule Requirements

• Shift Times: Varied (mix of days/nights)
• Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend
• Floating:
  • Yes, willing to float to other critical care units REQUIRED
  • May float to Telemetry
  • Possible ER float
• Badge In/Out: All clinicians must badge in and out at facility
