REQUIRED LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS

• Active NJ or Compact license is required at time of submission
• Required Certifications: BLS, PALS, (NRP Preferred)
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & CLINICAL SKILLS
==================================
• Years of Experience Required: HARD STOP: Must have 2+ years of PICU critical care experience with 1 year of cardiac experience. Both must be documented on skills checklist
• IV Therapy & General Nursing: IV therapy (port access, blood product administration, central line care, PICC management, TPN/lipids); phlebotomy; urinary catheter insertion/management; infection control/PPE; wound care
• Respiratory & Airway Management: BiPAP/CPAP; ventilator care; airway maintenance; chest tube/intubation assistance; ETCO2 monitoring; HFNC; suctioning; tracheostomy care
• Insulin administration; gastric/NG tube management; anti-seizure medications; antiarrhythmics; IV vasopressors; pediatric dosage calculations; Broselow system
• Cardiac/PICU: Congenital heart disease/repair (ASD, VSD, AV Canal Defect, TOF); CT patient care including valve replacements; Glenn and Fontan procedures; s/p cardiac Cath and ablations; cardiac transplant; post-cardiac surgery; hemodynamic monitoring; dysrhythmia interpretation/management; telemetry/tele monitoring; Healthcare pacemakers; standard PICU equipment
• Specialty Procedures: Peritoneal dialysis; pre/post hemodialysis; lumbar puncture assistance; hydrocephalus/VP shunt; chemotherapy monitoring; isolation precautions
SCHEDULING DETAILS AND CHARTING

• Charting: EPIC experience required
Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
• Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
• RTO, Block & Scheduling Requests: Priority given to submits with a screenshot confirming RTO and schedule requests. No requests will be approved after offer.
• Call Off Policy: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks.
• Holiday Requirement: Must work 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 holidays, per unit needs
• Accept First-Time Travelers: No
• Locals Accepted: Yes, Locals accepted at the same rate***
UNIT DETAILS AND FLOATING

• Ratios: 1:2+ (Confirm with traveler)
• Unit Details: 19 Bed unit with Infants, Adolescents, and Pediatrics.
• Scrubs: Navy Blue
• Floating: Will float to Pediatrics, and NICU if needed for an appropriate assignment-(Confirm floating with traveler). Candidates must float within their skillset without exception. Ratios vary based on census, patient acuity and staffing.
