Respiratory Care Practitioner, Pediatric

Overview

• Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour shifts
• Weekly hours: 36

Role Summary

• Provides respiratory therapy services across appropriate age groups under general supervision.
• Administers prescribed therapeutic treatments, performs diagnostic testing and monitoring, supports cardiac and respiratory arrest response, and maintains respiratory equipment and records.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Oklahoma
• Respiratory Therapist (1 year of experience)
• Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association

Experience

• None required

Preferred Experience

• 2 years of respiratory care experience in a critical care setting
• Previous work in a children’s-only hospital

Key Skills

• Respiratory therapy procedures and equipment operation/repair
• Clinical decision-making for pulmonary and cardiac care
• Ability to interpret patient information and work under stress
• Good interpersonal skills and basic computer skills
