Respiratory Care Practitioner, Pediatric
Overview
- Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour shifts
- Weekly hours: 36
Role Summary
- Provides respiratory therapy services across appropriate age groups under general supervision.
- Administers prescribed therapeutic treatments, performs diagnostic testing and monitoring, supports cardiac and respiratory arrest response, and maintains respiratory equipment and records.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Oklahoma
- Respiratory Therapist (1 year of experience)
- Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
Experience
- None required
Preferred Experience
- 2 years of respiratory care experience in a critical care setting
- Previous work in a children’s-only hospital
Key Skills
- Respiratory therapy procedures and equipment operation/repair
- Clinical decision-making for pulmonary and cardiac care
- Ability to interpret patient information and work under stress
- Good interpersonal skills and basic computer skills
