Required Qualifications & Experience

MUST HAVE:

• 2+ years RN experience minimum
• Cardiac ICU experience REQUIRED
• Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms efficiently
• Ability to assist with bedside procedures
• Drip management experience
• Ventilator management
• ADN (Associate Degree in Nursing) REQUIRED (minimum education)

Certifications (REQUIRED before start):

• BLS (required)
• ACLS (required)
• NIHSS (required)
• All certifications must be current and valid at time of start
• Client reserves right to require additional certifications

Unit Specifications:

• Total Beds: 12
• Patient Ratios:
  • Standard: 2:1
  • Progressive/step-down patients: Up to 4:1 (depending on acuity)
• Charting System: Meditech
• Scrub Color: Royal blue

• Mechanical ventilators
• Swan-Ganz catheters
• Balloon pumps (IABP)
• Arterial lines
• CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy)
• Advanced cardiac monitoring

Patient Population & Clinical Skills

Patient Types:

• Population: Adult and Geriatric
• Common Diagnoses:
  • STEMI (ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction)
  • NSTEMI (Non-ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction)
  • PE (Pulmonary Embolism)
  • Cardiogenic shock
  • Post-cardiac catheterization patients

Schedule Requirements

Shift Details:

• Shift Times: 18:30 - 07:00 (Nights)
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Typical Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (12-hour shifts)
• Call Requirements: None - scheduled for 36 working hours only

Floating Policy:

• MAY FLOAT to other areas based on census
• Be prepared for potential unit rotation based on facility needs
