- Weekly Gross: $2,503
- W2: $28.50/hr.
- Stipend: $1,477 Weekly
Requirements:
- OH State or Compact RN license - Required
- 2 Years of L&D Experience - Required
- Current BLS AHA, NRP and EFM (NCC or AWHONN) Certifications - Required
Job Summary:
We're seeking an experienced Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) for a 13-week assignment with a leading healthcare facility. The L&D RN provides comprehensive, patient-centered care to women throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and the immediate postpartum period. This role involves assessing maternal and fetal well-being, monitoring labor progression, administering medications, assisting with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, and collaborating with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatal teams, and other healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate is clinically skilled, compassionate, and committed to delivering safe, evidence-based care in a fast-paced labor and delivery environment.
Duties
- Assess and monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor and delivery.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor and interpret electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) strips.
- Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections.
- Recognize and respond to obstetric emergencies.
- Provide patient and family education on labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, anesthesia, and neonatal teams.
- Document patient care accurately in the EMR.
- Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and hospital policies.
- Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to ensure the best outcomes for mother and baby.
