Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Rotating 9-Hour Day Shifts (Start between 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM, End Time 8:30 PM)
Hours: 36 Hours/Week

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced PACU Registered Nurse to provide post-anesthesia care for surgical patients in both the Main PACU and Cardiovascular PACU (CVI PACU). The RN will monitor patients during recovery, manage post-operative complications, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

Main Requirements

• Active Illinois RN License
• Minimum 3 years of acute care hospital experience
• Critical Care PACU experience required
• At least 1 completed travel assignment
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certifications
• Holiday call rotation required

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive post-anesthesia recovery care.
• Assess and monitor airway, circulation, neurological status, and pain control.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and blood products as ordered.
• Identify and respond to post-operative complications and emergencies.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret EKG findings.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Document patient care accurately in the EMR.
• Float between the Main PACU and CVI PACU as needed.
