Local Contract - ER Registered Nurse – Night Shift

Location: Putnam County Hospital - 10 ER Beds
Contract Length: 13 weeks with potential to extend
Schedule: Full-time, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
Department: Emergency Department

Putnam County Hospital is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join its Emergency Department team for a 13-week contract assignment. This is a full-time night-shift opportunity with the potential for an extension.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced emergency setting and providing high-quality care to patients with a wide range of urgent and critical conditions.

Night shift: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
Potential contract extension
Departmental self-scheduling
Evening and night shift differentials
Weekend shift differential

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse license
Emergency Department nursing experience
Current BLS certification
Current ACLS certification
Current PALS certification

Preferred Certifications

TNCC
ENPC
CEN
NRP

Responsibilities

Assess and care for patients presenting with emergency and urgent medical conditions
Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy
Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in clinical status
Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team
Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes
Provide compassionate support and education to patients and their families
Follow hospital safety, infection-control, and emergency-care protocols
