Position: RRT
Location: Greensburg, PA 15601
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Both Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) and Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) available

Weekly for 36 hours :$2,218 weekly ($27/hr W2 + $1,246 weekly stipend)

Position Overview:
A Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is a licensed healthcare professional who assesses, treats, and cares for patients with breathing and cardiopulmonary disorders. RRTs work with patients of all ages in hospitals, emergency departments, intensive care units (ICUs), neonatal ICUs (NICUs), outpatient clinics, rehabilitation centers, and home healthcare settings.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions.
• Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and pulmonary function testing (PFT).
• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and inhaled treatments.
• Set up, monitor, and manage mechanical ventilators and non-invasive ventilation (BiPAP/CPAP).
• Respond to medical emergencies, including rapid response and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
• Perform airway management, including suctioning and assisting with intubation.
• Monitor patient response to therapy and modify treatment plans as ordered.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, medications, oxygen equipment, and home care.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and comply with hospital policies and safety standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide quality patient care.

Qualifications:

• 1-year RRT experince
• BLS

• RRT - PA State license required in hand
