Job Type: 13 Weeks Contract + possible extensions

Shift: Nights 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Shift 3x12 Hours

Schedule: 3 days/week

Expected Hours: 36 hours per week

Local candidates accepted as well, pay for locals: $60 - $63/hr

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) to join a high-acuity critical care team. The ideal candidate will have strong critical care experience and the ability to provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients requiring advanced monitoring, life-support therapies, and complex medical interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for critically ill patients.
• Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, hemodynamic data, and patient responses to treatment.
• Administer and titrate critical care medications, including vasoactive drips, sedatives, and other IV therapies.
• Operate and monitor advanced life-support equipment, including ventilators, cardiac monitors, and infusion pumps.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and participate in emergency response situations, including codes and rapid response events.
• Perform patient and family education regarding treatment plans and recovery expectations.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
• Ensure adherence to infection prevention, patient safety, and quality care protocols.
• Float to other critical care areas as needed within scope of practice and competency.

Required Qualifications:

• Active Colorado or compact state RN license.
• 1+ year of experience as a RN ICU.
• BLS (AHA) certification.
• ACLS certification.
• NIHSS certification.
