Description

IMC RN

Contract: 13 weeks |
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hrs/week
Shift: Variable 12-hour Days/Nights
Radius Rule: Must live 50+ miles from the facility
Float: Inpatient units as needed

Requirements

Active Minnesota RN License
BLS (AHA/ARC)
ACLS (AHA/ARC)
NIHSS
Minimum 1 year of IMC experience
Epic experience preferred

Unit Details

22-bed Intermediate Care Unit
Patient Ratios:
- Days: 1:4–5
- Nights: 1:5–6
May care for medical patients awaiting transfer
May serve as a 1:1 sitter or helping hands when needed

Patient Population

Complex medical patients
ETOH withdrawal
CVA (Stroke)
Sepsis

Required Skills

Wound care & wound vacs
IV starts
Antibiotic therapy
Neuro assessments
Restraint care
Strong teamwork and time management

Weekend/Holiday

Every other weekend (or less based on unit needs)
Holidays as assigned

Additional Notes

May be placed on low census/on-call (2-hour minimum callback)
Royal Blue scrubs
Up to 36 hours of unbillable low census per contract
Orientation week hours are not guaranteed
Candidates with prior travel experience in colder climates are preferred for winter start dates
