Position: RN Cath Lab
Location: Golden, CO
Job Type: 13 Weeks Contract + possible extensions
Shift: Days | 4x10-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
Schedule: 4 days/week
Expected Hours: 40 hours per week
Local candidates accepted as well, pay for locals: $65 - $70/hr
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical assessment skills, experience in cardiovascular care, and the ability to provide high-quality patient care before, during, and after cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures.
This position requires a detail-oriented RN who can thrive in a fast-paced procedural environment while collaborating closely with physicians, technologists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures.
- Prepare patients for diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures.
- Monitor patients during procedures, including hemodynamic monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and conscious sedation as ordered and within scope of practice.
- Assist physicians during cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, stent placements, and other cardiovascular interventions.
- Monitor patient recovery and provide post-procedure care and education.
- Recognize and respond to emergency situations and changes in patient condition.
- Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and treatment records.
- Participate in on-call coverage and respond to urgent procedural needs as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Colorado or compact state RN license.
- 1+ year of experience as a Cath Lab RN.
- BLS (AHA) certification.
- ACLS certification.
- NIHSS certification.
