Description

ICU RN

Housing: Shared contractor housing only (no pets or family)
Facility: 73-bed accredited regional hospital serving a large rural population
Shift: All shifts
Float: ICU primary; may float to ED, Med/Surg, or Pediatrics during low census

Requirements

Associate Degree in Nursing
Active, unrestricted RN license (any U.S. state or territory)
Minimum 3 years of ICU experience
AHA BLS
AHA ACLS
PALS (required within 6 months of hire)
TCAR (required within 6 months of hire)
NIHSS (required within 6 months of hire)

Unit Details

5-bed Intensive Care Unit
Provides care for critically ill patients of all ages
Independent nursing practice following physician orders and hospital policies

Patient Population

Adult and pediatric ICU patients
Post-operative recovery for:
- General Surgery
- Pediatrics
- OB patients (after hours)

Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive critical care nursing
Monitor and manage critically ill patients
Provide family education and support
Float to ED, Med/Surg, or Pediatrics as needed based on census

Additional Notes

Rural regional referral hospital with inpatient, outpatient, emergency, surgical, OB/GYN, orthopedic, dental, ophthalmology, ENT, and urology services
Shared housing provided for travelers (no family members or pets allowed)
