Emergency Room (ER) RN

• Facility will request a 90-day Emergency License if needed
• Profile review followed by manager phone interview
• Level III Trauma Center
• Shift: 12-hour shifts

Requirements

• BLS
• ACLS
• TNCC
• PALS or ENPC preferred (not required)
• Strong Emergency Department experience

Unit Details

• 21-bed Emergency Department with 1 trauma bay
• 4-bed Fast Track
• 2 triage rooms (travelers are expected to perform triage)
• Approximately 125 patients per day
• Typical patient ratio: 1:4
• General Emergency Department patient population
• 24/7 ED physician coverage
• ED Charge RN and House Supervisor available 24/7
• ED Techs available 24/7
• Security onsite

Skills & Equipment

• Meditech EMR
• RNs and ED Techs perform EKGs and most blood draws
• RT performs ABGs and breathing treatments
• Telemetry available
• Imaging staff transport patients to CT/X-ray

Schedule & Additional Information

• Every other weekend required
• Holiday schedule per contract
• No call required
• No floating
• Scrubs: Any color except purple
• Unit-specific orientation provided before the first shift
