Description

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (5x8s)
Call Requirements:
- One weekday of call per week
- One weekend per month (Friday 3:30 PM through Monday 6:30 AM)

Location Requirement

Must live within 50 miles of the facility.

Required Experience

Minimum 1 year of experience monitoring diagnostic and therapeutic electrophysiology (EP) studies (required)
Recent acute care nursing experience required
Knowledge of Micropace system is preferred
Willingness to help educate and mentor staff at McAllen Heart Hospital

Required Credentials

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state
NIHSS certification
BLS certification
ACLS certification

Education

Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved Registered Nurse program (required)
BSN highly preferred

Responsibilities

Monitor patients during diagnostic and therapeutic electrophysiology procedures.
Provide comprehensive nursing care before, during, and after EP procedures.
Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary EP team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
Assist with patient assessment, monitoring, documentation, and procedural support.
Serve as a clinical resource by helping educate and support staff at McAllen Heart Hospital.
