Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health

Location: Elko, Nevada
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Position in a Behavioral Health Unit on the 3rd floor of a regional hospital.
Adult patient population with common diagnoses including Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, Personality Disorders, and Dual Diagnosis (primary mental health).
16-bed unit with a patient ratio of 1 nurse to 4 patients.
Use of Vitals Machine, EMAR, Omnicell, and Med Host EHR system.
12-hour night shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week.
Every-other weekend rotation; no call requirements.
RN may be floated to other departments as needed.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Nevada
Behavioral Health (1 year of experience)
Behavioral Health experience within the last year
BLS
CPI
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience in a(n) Inpatient setting

Work Environment & Culture

Scrubs required; no specific color mandated.
Unit supports a young, active community with access to outdoor activities and local cultural events.
Fit testing for respiratory protection offered on-site.

Additional Information

Weekly orientations provided.
Must be located more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify as travel.
Weekend and float requirements apply.
