Position Overview

We're seeking experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurses for a 13-week travel assignment in Gainesville, FL. Join a highly skilled cardiovascular team at a leading acute care hospital known for advanced cardiac procedures, cutting-edge technology, and exceptional patient outcomes.

This is an outstanding opportunity for Cath Lab RNs looking for a weekday schedule with no weekends and no call, allowing for excellent work-life balance while working in a fast-paced procedural environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing invasive cardiovascular procedures.
• Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Care for patients before, during, and after procedures while monitoring hemodynamic status.
• Administer medications, sedation, and emergency interventions as needed.
• Operate and monitor specialized cardiac equipment and ensure procedural readiness.
• Collaborate with physicians, cardiovascular technologists, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation using the Meditech electronic medical record.
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and discharge instructions.
• Adhere to all hospital safety standards and evidence-based clinical practices. 

Procedures Performed

Experience with the following procedures is required:

• Cardiac Device Implants
• Cardiac Ablations
  • Supraventricular Tachycardia (SVT)
  • Atrial Fibrillation (Afib)
• Watchman Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion (LAAO) Procedures 

Qualifications

Required:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab experience
• Experience assisting with:
  • Device implants
  • Cardiac ablations
  • Electrophysiology procedures  
• Current BLS Certification
• Current ACLS Certification
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
• Strong critical thinking and excellent communication skills 

Schedule

• 13-week travel assignment
• Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Weekday schedule
• No weekends
• No call requirements

• GE Innova X-ray System
• Merge Imaging System
• GE MacLab Hemodynamic Monitoring System
• Meditech Electronic Medical Record
