Description
Job Title: Pharmacy Technician II
Location: Wenatchee, WA
Duration: 13-Week Contract
Shift:5x8 (13:15 - 21:45)
Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounded medications in accordance with USP 795, USP 797, and USP 800 standards
- Assist with medication preparation, dispensing, and inventory management
- Stock automated dispensing cabinets and maintain medication supplies
- Handle controlled substances and maintain accurate documentation
- Perform medication reconciliation and obtain accurate medication histories
- Operate pharmacy automation systems
- Monitor medication expiration dates and conduct unit inspections
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment
- Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare staff to support patient care
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Active Washington State Pharmacy Technician License
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
- Sterile Compounding Certification (PTCB or NPTA)
- At least one advanced/specialty pharmacy certification, such as:
- Hazardous Compounding
- Non-Sterile Compounding
- Controlled Substances Diversion Prevention
- Hazardous Drug Management
- Technician Product Verification
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) Certification
- Strong computer and communication skills
- Experience in an inpatient hospital pharmacy preferred
