Description

Job Title: Pharmacy Technician II
Location: Wenatchee, WA
Duration: 13-Week Contract
Shift:5x8 (13:15 - 21:45)

 

Responsibilities

  • Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounded medications in accordance with USP 795, USP 797, and USP 800 standards
  • Assist with medication preparation, dispensing, and inventory management
  • Stock automated dispensing cabinets and maintain medication supplies
  • Handle controlled substances and maintain accurate documentation
  • Perform medication reconciliation and obtain accurate medication histories
  • Operate pharmacy automation systems
  • Monitor medication expiration dates and conduct unit inspections
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare staff to support patient care

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Active Washington State Pharmacy Technician License
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
  • Sterile Compounding Certification (PTCB or NPTA)
  • At least one advanced/specialty pharmacy certification, such as:
    • Hazardous Compounding
    • Non-Sterile Compounding
    • Controlled Substances Diversion Prevention
    • Hazardous Drug Management
    • Technician Product Verification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) Certification
  • Strong computer and communication skills
  • Experience in an inpatient hospital pharmacy preferred
