RN PCU
Shift: 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
Certification: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA),NIHSS
Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
- Minimum 1-year current acute care PCU hospital experience
- BLS & ACLS
Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
- Chest tube management, remove chest tubes, remove pacer wires, 12 lead EKGs
- O2 management (up to BIPAP & heated hi-flo)
- Drips – heparin, diltiazem, amiodarone, Lasix, dobutamine, milrinone, ketamine
List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
- Post-cath care; right & left heart caths, TAVRs, ablations, watchmans, pacemaker implantations, TR band management, neurovascular checks
- Post thoracic surgery care; VATs/RATs, resections, lobectomies, chest tube management
- Pre & post care of open-heart surgical patients; CABGs, MVRs, AVRs, Aortic Dissection repairs etc.
- Vascular surgery post op care
