Job Summary
CVS Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to support its Vaccination Support (Float) Initiative. The RN will administer Flu, COVID-19, MMR, and other routine immunizations while providing safe, compassionate, patient-centered care across assigned CVS retail pharmacy locations.
Minimum Requirements
- Active, unrestricted RN License
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, including immunization/vaccination experience
- Current BLS Certification
- Experience administering Flu, COVID-19, MMR, and other routine vaccines
- Excellent interpersonal and patient communication skills
- Must not be listed on the DEA Excluded Parties List
- High School Diploma/GED (verification required)
Responsibilities
- Administer Flu, COVID-19, MMR, and other CDC-recommended vaccines.
- Screen patients and assess vaccination eligibility prior to immunization.
- Educate patients on vaccines, potential side effects, and post-vaccination care.
- Maintain accurate vaccination documentation and patient records.
- Follow CDC, state, and CVS vaccination protocols.
- Ensure proper vaccine storage, handling, and infection prevention practices.
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a retail pharmacy setting.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Float between assigned CVS locations as needed.
- Maintain flexibility with work schedule based on operational needs.
Ideal Candidate
- Strong immunization and medication administration experience.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Adaptable, dependable, and team-oriented.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail healthcare environment.
- Willing to travel between nearby CVS locations as part of the float assignment.
Looking for candidates residing within 30–35 minutes driving distance of the primary work location. This is preferred for all CVS Vaccination Support roles.
