Position Overview
The Counselor provides behavioral health services to individuals and families, utilizing advanced clinical knowledge and skills to support positive treatment outcomes. The role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, development of treatment plans, clinical documentation, and coordination of care to address clients' behavioral health needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide behavioral health treatment, care, and support services.
- Assess client needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Interpret and analyze clinical information to guide treatment recommendations.
- Complete required clinical documentation, including:
- Assessments
- Progress notes
- Treatment plans
- Discharge summaries
- Maintain an active caseload and assist with coverage as needed.
- Collaborate with internal and external care providers to coordinate services.
- Participate in treatment planning and case consultations.
- Serve as a clinical resource regarding evidence-based practices and specialty care areas.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, professional, and quality standards.
- Attend trainings and participate in ongoing professional development.
