Description
Emergency Department RN – Returning Traveler
Position Summary
Travel RN will provide emergency care across multiple areas of the Emergency Department, including Main ED, Fast Track, Observation Unit, Triage, Quick Registration, COVID Testing, and Entry Screening. Nurses should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to frequent assignment changes.
Schedule
- Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Typical schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off
- 36 hours one week / 48 hours the next (average 42 hours/week)
- Maximum 1 week RTO
Experience Required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience
- More experience may be required depending on specialty needs
- Returning traveler posting
Unit Overview
- 11-bed Main Emergency Department
- 6-bed Fast Track
- 7-bed ED Observation Unit
- Nurses rotate through:
- Main ED
- Fast Track
- Observation
- Triage
- Quick Registration
- COVID Testing/Immunization Clinics
- Entry Screening
Required Certifications
- AHA BLS
- AHA ACLS
- AHA PALS or ENPC
- TNCC
