Description
Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Travel Contract
Contract: 13 Weeks
Shift: 3 x 12-hour shifts | Start: ASAP
Position Summary
Seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for an acute care hospital. Spine and Total Joint experience is required (hard stop). Candidates must be proficient in a variety of inpatient surgical specialties and comfortable taking call.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of CST experience
- First-time travelers accepted with 3+ years of experience
- BLS Certification
- CST Certification
- NBSTSA or NCCT certification (either accepted)
- Spine and Total Joint experience required
- Da Vinci Xi experience required
- Scrubbing experience in inpatient OR required
Required Case Experience
- General Surgery
- Orthopedics
- Ortho Spine
- Total Joints
- Urology
- Endoscopic/Laparoscopic
- Vascular
- Gynecology
- C-Sections
- Dilation & Curettage (D&C)
- Hysterectomy procedures (abdominal, vaginal, laparoscopic-assisted)
Schedule & Requirements
- Weekend and holiday call required (may exceed every other weekend)
- On-call required with 30-minute response time
- Floating to Outpatient Surgery Pavilion as needed
- Block scheduling not available
- Local candidates accepted (50-mile radius)
- RTO must be included at submission
