Description
Shift: 11p-7a, 5x8's w/ weekends
What areas do they cover? (Hematology/Serology, Chemistry/Coag, Micro, & Blood Bank): Primary need is for blood bank and hematology. Traveler would not be cross trained to all areas, they would typically be trained either in chemistry/molecular/urine, OR one hematology/blood bank/coag.
Do they need to be a Generalist?: Yes Do they need to perform Phlebotomy?: No Experience or 'Must have' skills & common job duties: Will be working blood bank- must be confident in this area. Ability to identify antibodies, antigen typing, resolving erroneous results, diagnostic differentials,
LIS System: Meditech
EMR/Specific Equipment used in each area?: Galileo echo blood bank analyzer- experience with this would be preferred, can be learned on job. Other instrumentation: Sysmex 2000, ACL Top coagulation analyzer, Cobas 8000/6000, Aries, Luminex, VITEK 2
