Description

Position/Specialty: Ultrasound/Pediatrics
Daily Caseload per tech: Varies
Shift: Will work 4x10hr days Mon-Thurs 8p-0630a
with potential need for flexibility to work additional days as needed
Is on-call REQ? What is the req? No call
Will clinician float within scope meet facility needs? No, travel between various buildings on campus is not required. Position will be all in-house at Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital.

Preferred/Required
Years of experience Required: 2yrs experience- Two to three years prior experience in dedicated pediatric ultrasound
First-timers accepted: Yes
Certs REQ: BLS and ARDMS or ARRT certification
SC State ultrasound licensure is not required.

Minimum Training and Education Required: Graduated from an accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
Required experience: Pediatric hospital experience-NEC and TCD experience, spines, Liver Doppler (all vessels) experience, renal doppler, renal transplants, extremity venous doppler, Intussusception, Pyloric stenosis, Appendix, and Any neonatal heads
Preferred experience: Pediatric hospital experience- liver transplants
Radiation Badge Required? No

Misc. Open to accommodating block schedule? Approval prior to assignment, but not guaranteed. Radius rule? Yes, 60 miles. Are locals accepted? Yes, on a case-by-case basis at 10% less than the posted bill rate RTO Restrictions: All RTO must be included at time of submission. Approval will be based on Guaranteed Hours: Facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks Hospital Highlights Type of Facility: Teaching Hospital Magnet / Teaching / Level Trauma: Magnet, Teaching and Level 1 Trauma Total Staffed Beds: 865 Scrub Color: Scrub colors are teal tops and black bottoms Charting: Epic Parking Cost: Nights and weekends only. Onetime payment of $20 for a parking pass. **Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. If this is a problem, please ensure travelers do not confirm a new or ext assignment during the season. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year. The peak months for hurricane activity are August and September.** Shift Information: Night (4x10 Hours) 20:00 6:30
