Description

UNIT: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit

Experience Required: 2 years Critical Care. Management of vasoactive medications, various surgical drains, chest tubes, ventilators, CRRT. Invasive lines, including arterial lines, PA catheters, transvenous pacemakers. Management of invasive devices, including IABP, Impella.  First time traveler not preferred but would consider.

Certs Required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Technology/Equipment:
EMR: Epic
IV Pump: Alaris
Med dispensing: Omnicell
Monitors: Phillips

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: STEMI (unstable), cardiogenic shock, cardiac arrest, thoracic surgery. CT Surgery to include CABG, Valve, Dissection.

Floating: Region 1 - Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH (peds only) -- could float to any of the facilities within region if the need arises.

PATIENT RATIOS: 1:2

SCRUB COLOR: NAVY

PARKING: FREE

Scheduling:
Weekend rotation: every other
No call
Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays
RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays – must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours
Shift times: 0645-1915 and 1845- 0715
Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks
