Description
Job Title: Travel Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown RN - Night Shift
Job Description: Join the nursing team at CHI Health Immanuel in Omaha, NE! We are seeking an experienced PCU / Stepdown Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment on the night shift. In this 35-bed unit, you will care for adult and geriatric patients with complex cardiac, neurological, nephrology, and stroke diagnoses. Contract Details:
- Target Start Date: 08/17/2026
- Shift: 12-hour Nights (18:30–07:00).
- Scheduling: Every other weekend and every third holiday required. Maximum 7 days of RTO must be submitted upfront.
Requirements:
- Experience: Strong PCU/Stepdown background with experience managing continuous telemetry, stroke care, and titratable drips (Cardizem, beta blockers, seizure medications).
- Certifications: Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are strictly required at submission.
- Radius & Employment Policy: Must reside strictly outside a 50-mile radius (Driver's License required at submittal). Candidates who have worked as a perm, part-time, or PRN employee with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity within the past year are not eligible.
Important Unit Notes:
- Artificial Nail Policy: Artificial nails are strictly prohibited in all patient care areas.
- Orientation Exam: All travelers participate in a supportive, open-book skills exam during Friday orientation, requiring a 90% to pass.
