Description
• Specialty: Cardiac and Stepdown
• Number of Openings: 3 currently
• Shift: 12 hour shifts
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: Every Other Weekend
• Call Requirements: only if census is low
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH
• Years of Experience: 1 year PCU or stepdown
• Float Requirements: yes
Unit Information:
• Number of Beds: 36
• Patient Ratios: 1:5-6 for the Cardiac patients and 1:3-4 for PCU/stepdown population
• Equipment: telemetry monitoring
• EHR: Cerner
• Must Have Skills/Experience: Cardiac patient populations, chest tubes, cardiac monitoring and cardiac drips, and cardiac stepdown populations
• Preferred Skillset/Experience: PCU/ Stepdown patient populations, Low level ICU skills
• Common Diagnosis/Treatment: Chest pain, VATS, Stroke/TIA, Pre&Post Open Heart Surgery, Pacemakers, Heart Blocks, Vascular, CHF
