Description
Unit Info: Our Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit (CSICU) is a four 4-bed unit that directs its resources principally towards the care of adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, thoracic, vascular and other surgical conditions requiring critical care located on 4 North. The care of these patients is primarily focused on post-operative recovery and providing complex invasive hemodynamic monitoring. Nurses must exhibit high levels of professional competency. CSU is an 8-bed stepdown unit. The stepdown unit focuses on the care and recovery of patients after cardiac, thoracic, or vascular surgery. Both units are supported by a cardiovascular educator. Together we specialize in the patient centered approach to care. Our team is dedicated to making our patients experience pleasant and comfortable in a safe and secure environment. Floating: Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals. Charting System: Meditech
