Description
We're seeking an experienced and compassionate Travel Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Labor & Delivery to join a dedicated healthcare team in Watsonville, California. This is an exciting opportunity to provide exceptional care to mothers and newborns while enjoying the beautiful California coast.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and the immediate postpartum period.
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being using advanced assessment skills.
- Assist physicians and midwives during labor, deliveries, and emergency obstetric procedures.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and patient education.
- Respond quickly and effectively to obstetric emergencies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Accurately document patient assessments and interventions.
Requirements
- Active California RN license (or ability to obtain prior to start).
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience.
- Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring certifications.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
