Position Details

Position: Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery / Postpartum (LDR/PP)
Facility: Kittitas Valley Healthcare – Family Birthing Place
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

Schedule

Shift: Days
Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts

Seeking an experienced LDR/PP Registered Nurse for the Family Birthing Place at a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital in Ellensburg, WA. The unit consists of Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDR/PP) with a Level I Nursery. The ideal candidate should have rural healthcare experience or a strong interest in working in a rural setting.

Required Experience

Recent Labor, Delivery, Recovery & Postpartum (LDR/PP) experience
Experience working in a Family Birthing Center
Comfortable caring for Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn patients
Experience in a Critical Access Hospital or rural healthcare setting is preferred but not required

Requirements

Active RN License
Recent LDR/PP experience
Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed

Preferred Qualifications

Cerner EMR experience
Rural healthcare experience or strong interest in rural nursing

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care for Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum patients
Monitor maternal and newborn health throughout hospitalization
Collaborate with providers to ensure safe deliveries and postpartum care
Educate patients and families regarding maternal and newborn care
Document patient care accurately using Cerner (preferred)
Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a rural healthcare setting
