OR Tech / Surgical Tech – Travel Assignment
Position: OR Tech / Surgical Tech
Shift: Days, 4x10s (06:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
Schedule: Day/Evening rotating schedule with a combination of 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts totaling 40 hours per week
- Monday–Friday
- Call required as needed
- Weekend call required as needed
- Not guaranteed 4x10 schedule throughout assignment
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of recent Surgical Tech experience
- BCLS certification required
- EPIC experience required
- Strong scrub experience in complex surgical specialties
HARD STOPS – Required Experience
Candidates must have recent experience in ALL of the following specialties:
- ENT
- Neuro
- Thoracic
- Robotics
Do not submit candidates missing experience in any of these service lines.
Highly Preferred Skills
- Robotic surgery
- Neurosurgery
- Thoracic surgery
- ENT procedures
Required Multi-Service Experience
Experience in several of the following areas is strongly preferred:
- ENT/Plastics (Flaps & Microvascular)
- Endoscopic Procedures (Bronchoscopy, EGD, EBUS, LS)
- Neuro (Craniotomy, EEA, Skull Base)
- Thoracic
- Robotics
Expected Case Mix
Travelers should be prepared to scrub:
- Surgical Oncology
- Thoracic
- Colorectal
- Urology
- GYN Oncology
- Head & Neck / ENT
- Neuro
- Orthopedics
- Plastics / Reconstructive
- Robotics
Responsibilities
- Scrub a variety of complex surgical procedures
- Maintain sterile technique throughout procedures
- Assist surgeons and OR staff during cases
- Document appropriately within EPIC
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure quality patient outcomes
- Participate in call coverage as assigned
