Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Position Overview

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU (Neuro ICU)
  • Location: Phoenix, AZ
  • Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
  • Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
  • Hours per Week: 36 Guaranteed Hours (3x12s)
  • Agency: BHS Workforce

Facility & Unit Details

  • Location Profile: Level I Trauma Center & Academic Teaching Hospital
  • Unit Scope: High-acuity Neuro-ICU patient population
  • Shift Requirements: 12-hour night shifts; includes rotating weekend and holiday coverage per unit schedule.
  • Scheduling Note: Block scheduling is not offered at this facility.

Candidate & Submission Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent acute care ICU nursing experience.
  • Licensure: Active Arizona RN License or valid Compact/Multistate RN License.
  • Required Certifications for Submission:
    • BLS (American Heart Association)
    • ACLS (American Heart Association)
    • NIHSS Certification
    • Core Exam - Nursing / Basic EKG Exam
    • ICU/CCU RN Exam & Skills Checklist
    • Ishihara Colorvision Screening
    • LA Fire Safety Card
    • CCRN (Preferred)
  • Screening Criteria:
    • Clean Nursys record (no disciplinary hits).
    • COVID-19 vaccination documentation required.
    • Complete 7-year work and residential history (all gaps over 30 days explained).
    • Travel pairs and local candidates are not eligible.
