• Nights: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM

Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced ICU RN for a high-acuity float pool position at Maine Medical Center. This role requires flexibility, strong critical-care skills, and the ability to adapt quickly across multiple specialty intensive care units.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of recent ICU RN experience
• Recent acute-care hospital experience required
• Must be clinically confident managing critically ill and unstable patients
• Must be comfortable floating based on experience, competency, and hospital staffing needs

Floating Requirements

Travelers may float among the following units:

• Medical ICU
• Neuro ICU
• Surgical/Trauma ICU
• Cardiac ICU
• Cardiothoracic ICU

Float assignments will be based on the clinician’s documented experience and competency.

Ideal Candidate

• Strong multi-system ICU background
• Comfortable in a fast-paced tertiary-care environment
• Adaptable across different critical-care specialties
• Strong assessment, prioritization, communication, and teamwork skills
• Willing to work a high percentage of weekend shifts
