Shift:
Day 5x8-Hour (07:00 - 15:30)
Required Experience:
- Recent 1 year inpatient psychiatric nursing experience.
Required Charting System:
Epic
Required Certifications:
BLS, CA LVN License, CPI or ProAct or PMAB
Common Patient Diagnoses
- ADHD
- Bipolar Disorder
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Eating Disorders
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- Anxiety Disorders
- Depression
- Major Depressive Disorder (MDD)
- Psychotic Disorders
- Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD)
Adult Patient Population
- Substance Use Disorders
- Alcohol and Opiate Withdrawal (patients are generally medically stable upon admission)
- Hypertension
- Diabetes
- Geriatric patients with a high risk of falls
- Patients experiencing acute or chronic pain
- Patients requiring basic wound care (occasional)
Unit Procedures & Workflow
- Electronic patient rounding
- Rover device used to:
- Capture wound and assessment photos
- Document vital signs
- Record food and fluid intake
