Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – PACU

Location: Gainesville, GA 30501
Start Date: 08/17/2026
Duration: 12 Weeks
Shift: PM | 10:30 AM – 11:00 PM (3x12)
Hours: 36 Hours/Week

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care for patients recovering from surgical procedures. The RN will monitor patients during recovery, manage post-operative complications, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe patient outcomes.

Main Requirements

  • Active RN GA License
  • PACU experience required
  • Experience caring for post-surgical patients
  • Epic charting experience preferred

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Monitor patients during post-anesthesia recovery.
  • Perform comprehensive post-operative assessments.
  • Manage pain, airway, and hemodynamic stability.
  • Administer medications, IV fluids, and blood products as ordered.
  • Identify and respond to post-operative complications.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the interdisciplinary team.
  • Educate patients and families on recovery and discharge instructions.
  • Document patient care accurately in Epic EMR.
