Description
Job Title: Histotechnologist
Location: Atlanta, GA
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Evenings | Monday–Friday | 6:00 PM – 2:30 AM
Hours: 40 hours/week (5x8-hour shifts)
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Pathology Laboratory.
- No local candidates within 50 miles of the facility.
- Required Certification:
- ASCP Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL)
- Education:
- Successful completion of a formal Histology Technologist training program or
- Associate's degree in Chemical, Physical, or Biological Sciences.
Responsibilities
- Receive surgical pathology specimens.
- Accession specimens into Cerner.
- Collect tissue blocks from Pathologists and Pathologists' Assistants.
- Process, embed, and section tissue specimens.
- Perform routine staining of histology slides.
- Support the Pathology, Cytology, and Immunohistochemistry (IHC) departments.
